Dear IWP

We have dug a borewell upto 420 feet and put a 30 stage 1.5 submersible pump (KHB) at a depth of 400 feet. As the moter stopped working, we tried to pull out the motor and learned that the casing was crushed. The casing was of a plasto company which is considered to be a good company. What is the best solution for the future now?

Hi

We live in Bangalore and when digging a borewell found water at 600 feet. The drilling machine was not going further due to the water pressure. They say it is more than 2 inches, amd as the bore well guys were expecting a 1000 ft drill, they went on trying in spite of me telling them to stop. Then the water turned muddy and fine gravel started coming out. I asked them to stop immediately. Now, I am a little worried whether the water will be clear. We are yet to put in the motor. Please provide your expert opinions.

Thanks

George SW

Hi

Why is the discharge range in water pumps mentioned with 2 numbers where the 2nd number is less than the 1st one, for example "Discharge Range : 3150-880 LPH" or "42 - 12.5 LPM" ?

Thanks

Nitesh Lohia

It has been close to 3 years since I have been using a Grundfos 2HP pump which is 550 ft below the ground in my home bore well. It was all fine, till it stopped working a few days back. No electric or water level issues have been found. On taking the pump out we were shocked to see silt and boulder granules that have made their way into the mesh and damaged the pump. The motor appears to be ok.

Hi,

I lives in a 3BHK in Bangalore on 3rd Floor(top floor) and we have an overhead tank for supply, and we have added a Kranti Water meter now.
the problem is that the pressure is very low and when water taps are opened simultaneously in other bathrom, it becomes too low. I have researched on the internet & learned that there are pressure pump available to boost water supply.
