As cities spread wide, grey infrastructure projects flout green norms to provide affordable housing for all.

Far in the distance, towards the edge of Noida and Greater Noida flows the Hindon river amidst clusters of modern highrise buildings. A few years ago, the landscape here was more countrified and quite distinct from the low rise neghbourhoods of Delhi dotted with its numerous parks and abundant institutional spaces.

Electrician told due to overheating of CPVC pipe in low water discharge, it might got melted in between and the pump with motor assemble got detached . The reason we guess is that the pump is being operated without Non return Valve for the past few days (3 weeks). Also the normal running time is 2 hours daily (1 hour in morning and 1 hour in evening). Further we have been informed while using submersible pumps at a depth of 850 feet, we should have tied rope along with the pump which we are not aware at the time of instalaltion.

Hi, In my farming land I recently drilled a new bore well. It's got stuck and we are not able to lift it out with chain blocker. Bore well details Total Feet: 180 Casing Feet: 60 (6") Motor type: 3HP motor (4") connected Pipe: HDPE single pipe (150 feets) Motor pump is at 135 feets deep in bore well. Now on top of motor almost 50 feet mud fell. When we checked with thread it went up to 80 feet only. We checked with some bore well vendors who said with air pressure in the bore pump there may be a 50% chance only to pull out the motor pump from bore well.

We had 100 Ft bore which went dry, we called borewell driller, they came, remove old motor and drilled additional 150 Ft, ( water was found at 220-240 ft) We installed new motor, new pipes, wire and rope. After starting motor, to our dismay, delivery was around 1/2 inch only. But driller had said we wil get 1 inch to 1.5 inch for sure. So he told us to remove the motor and check it. So we started to remove the motor ( it was kep at around 230-240 ft). After pulling out 50-55 ft, it got stuck. They tried to use chain block and pulley to remove it, but not successful .
