We have an 80 feet deep borewell dug in the year 2012 in Indiranagar, 4th main road, Ayar, Chennai 60020. We are 7KM away from the sea shore. Right from day one the borewell water had a high level of iron content, and we have not been able to use it. We are not keen to instal equipments outside the borewell to minimise the iron content. A service provider suggested installing another bigger PVC pipe outside the bore pipe, to reduce iron content to some extent. Is this possible?? He is charging 30% more. Would like some technical guidance on this service provider's recommendation of additional pipe.
