I stay in Hanumanthnagar Bangalore. Our open well is below stairs(10 feet height) and we have 3 ft open space to reach the well. We are planning to construct a borewell to increase water yield in summer. We can't think of getting a borewell done as big equipment cant be taken to the well due to height problem.

I was told that there are some methods of manually drilling or small bore drilling machines which can be taken to space constrained places, please let me know if these methods are available and if its feasible to get bore drilled inside the well.

1. Can we drill borewell inside the open well?
2. Would like to know about manual drilling, as my building structure will not all any equipment bigger than 12 feet
