I live in Pammal / Chennai for the past 6 years.  We are facing water hardness issues which has resulted in the pipes accumulating scales resulting in replacement or repeated cleaning with acid. A vendor has checked and reported that water is having around 900 ppm hardness. He has said that is difficult to purify the same at the current level of hardness.

Is there any permanent solution available? Is there anybody in Chennai who can help us in this regards?
