Sukriti

Sukirti is a geospatial analyst with an M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing - ISRO, where she specialised in agriculture and soil. As a Research Associate at WELL Labs, she worked on critical climate stress moments, periods when livelihood systems are especially vulnerable to climate risk. This included analysing climate data and carrying out field visits and focus group discussions with farmers in Raichur, Karnataka, which led to this piece. She no longer reads as avidly as she once did, but historical fiction remains a favourite.
