Hi All,
I need guidance on whether we need slotted piping/casing for our borewell or not? What are pros and cons for this?
The pump was stuck and was fished out through steel cable after cutting the water supply pipe. The scanning report says that there are loose bolders in the first 200ft of 1100ft borewell which can cause problem in future so as a solution, we have put slotted pipes till the bottom.
The borewell scan reports (both before fish out and after) are attached. I checked with 3 more persons and all had different views. Some say it is required and will help, while others say not required and it will evetually jam the slots/screens and slow down the water.
I need your help and neutral guidance to answer the following questions
A month back our borewell didn't start in the morning. intially thought some phase issue but all 3 phases were alright. So we called our borwell contractor who drilled the borewell and installed the pump/motor almost 2 & half year back.
In order to troubleshoot, they started pulling out the pump/motor, but it got stuck at around 250ft. So they put soap & detergent to smoothen it but no luck. We then got the Borewell scanner, which gave following report.
