Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Hindi Writer to produce high-quality content in Hindi on a variety of water-related themes. The ideal candidate will be able to craft compelling articles, blogs, and social media copy that inform and engage readers. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key conversations around water sustainability and management while working with an editorial team.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Write and edit articles, blog posts, and other written content in Hindi on water-related topics such as conservation, management, policy, and sustainability.
Social Media Support: Create engaging body copy for social media posts and promotional content that highlights IWP’s articles and initiatives.
Editing & Proofreading: Edit and refine contributions from external writers, ensuring all content adheres to IWP’s editorial standards and is free from errors.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Managing Editor and other editorial team members to plan and execute content that aligns with IWP’s editorial calendar.
Research: Conduct in-depth research on water-related issues, trends, and solutions to ensure content is factually accurate and relevant.
Content Adaptation: Tailor content to meet the needs of different audiences, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and engagement
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in writing Hindi content, with a strong focus on features and long-form content.
Proven expertise in developing and enforcing editorial guidelines.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Hindi (proficiency in English is an advantage).
Familiarity with CMS platforms, basic HTML, SEO principles, and social media management tools.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in sectors related to water, environment, or development.
Journalistic background, especially in features and investigative reporting.
Knowledge of multimedia content creation and associated tools.
