Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage partnerships with Government institutions, INGOs, Research and Academic Institutions, other consultancy firms, and individuals working in this area

- Technical & Managerial Responsibilities

- Provide timely, high quality advice for ongoing projects at all stages of the project cycle, including policy and program design, implementation, reporting, technical advice and monitoring & evaluation.

- Would be responsible for the quality of output on the projects as well as strict adherence to the timelines committed to clients.

- Analyze the progress by technical packages, share field experiences, lessons learned, research / assessment findings and coordinate inter-package linkages on field activities.

- Conduct field visits to the project sites and identify strengths / weaknesses in program implementation and provide on-the-spot feedback and technical assistance to improve both individual and institutional performances for effective programming.

- Development and adherence to work plans

- Will be required to participate in project related meetings with donors, give presentations on the projects’ progress as well as the final report, besides participation in workshops and consultations.

- Contribute to the conceptualization, preparation and implementation of workshops, seminars and other events on subjects related to WASH specially and any others undertaken by the organization.

- Develop and organize quality assurance and propose necessary changes, improvements and initiatives in project delivery.

- Knowledge Management

- Contribute articles in scientific and non-scientific journals.

Eligibility:

- PhD and or Master’s degree or a Professional degree in Public Health Engineering / Civil Engineering /Environmental Engineering/Urban Planning/Geo hydrology / Public Health / Rural Development/Social development or any other discipline relevant to this role.

- Minimum 15 years of extensive experience in managing & implementing WASH Projects both in rural and urban areas, out of which at least 5 years should be in a leadership role.

- Demonstrable experience in programme management, project delivery, quality assurance, supervising teams, managing budgets and multiple work plans, report writing, etc. in the WASH sector.

- Experience of working in collaboration with the government (at the Centre/state level) in the implementation of programmes.

- Familiarity with the general Business Development Cycle both for international agencies  as well as government clients.
