Manager – Program Finance
Preamble:
Wipro Foundation is a not-for-profit trust, set up for corporate citizenship and CSR activities of Wipro Limited. The trust manages initiatives and projects by engaging a wide network of more than 200+ NGO partners in domains such as Education, Environment, primary health care, disaster relief etc. NGO partners to receive grants to work with us in these domains are carefully chosen through a thorough due diligence process.
The role of Manager – Program Finance (Consultant) is a critical role which enables selection of right partners by screening the prospective grantees through the finance due diligence process. Also after the grant is disbursed and project is in progress this role would ensure good governance by conducting required checks, internal audits etc to ensure partners are working in an ethical, transparent manner following good accounting practices and assist in enabling them in achieving this.
Role Summary
Manager – Program Finance will play an operational role in strengthening financial management, grant governance, compliances across themes and partner organizations. The role requires a strong understanding of NGO finance, grant operations, compliance, budgeting and institutional processes, combined with the ability to work closely with program teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate Finance Due Diligence process
Conduct financial due diligence of prospective and existing partner NGOs prior to grant onboarding and renewal process.
Evaluate adequacy of accounting systems, internal controls, governance structures, and financial management practices of prospective partners.
Assess compliance status related to Income Tax, FCRA and other applicable statutory registrations.
Review organizational policies and processes to identify financial, operational, compliance, and governance risks, if any.
Prepare and present structured due diligence reports for internal review committees and management decision-making.
