Position Summary:
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for driving business growth through lead generation, partnerships, and client acquisition. You will represent GreenEcolink with corporates, RWAs, schools, hospitals, retail outlets, and government stakeholders, creating opportunities for e-waste collection, awareness programs, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance projects.
The role requires a mix of business development acumen and operational expertise—from identifying and converting new opportunities to ensuring the execution of collection drives and long-term client engagement. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Lead Generation-
Identify, target, and acquire new clients across corporates, RWAs, hospitals, retail outlets, and educational institutions.
Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities for e-waste collection, recycling, and EPR services.
Partnership Development-
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with government departments, recyclers, manufacturers, and industry associations.
Negotiate agreements and MoUs for long-term partnerships.
Awareness & Outreach-
Design and deliver impactful awareness campaigns highlighting the risks of improper e-waste disposal.
Represent GreenEcolink in EPR activities, compliance initiatives, and sustainability forums.
Promote company drop-off points as convenient and trusted e-waste disposal destinations.
Execution & Client Engagement-
Oversee collection drives, including door-to-door programs, ensuring proper labelling, packaging, and transfer of e-waste.
Collect client feedback after each initiative and follow up for sustained engagement.
Workshops & Training
Conduct workshops, webinars, and presentations for corporates, RWAs, schools, and community groups to build awareness and engagement.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of leads, deals closed, collections achieved, and campaign impact.
Share success stories and impact highlights on LinkedIn and other social platforms.
Team Collaboration
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness and client satisfaction.
Mentor junior staff on client engagement, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Communications, Social Work, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in business development, waste management, CSR, or community outreach.
Demonstrated success in lead generation, partnership building, and client management.
Strong skills in government liaisoning, stakeholder engagement, and compliance management.
Ability to independently design and execute workshops and awareness programs.
Knowledge of hazardous materials, safe handling practices, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong communication skills (Hindi required, English functional but improving), with ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
