About the Organization:
Conservation of Nature through Rural Awakening (CONARE) is a non-governmental organization that promotes conservation by empowering marginalized rural communities, particularly tribal groups, to participate in holistic development. CONARE achieves this through projects like alternative livelihoods, climate-proofing agriculture, and fostering collective action for development, alongside promoting community health and sanitation. The organization's approach focuses on collective action for sustainable development, as outlined in its programs in the Amrabad Tiger Reserve region.
Eligibility Criteria:
i) Commerce graduate with experience handling NGO books of accounts.
ii) Sound knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
iii) Hands-on experience using accounting software such as Tally ERP.
iv) Knowledge of statutory laws about income tax and FCRA.
v) Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
vi) Analytical skills.
vii) Experience of handling audits independently.
Roles and Responsibilities:
i) Comply with the financial policy and regulation of the organization.
ii) Manage all accounting transactions and update the books of accounts and application regularly.
iii) Conduct budget variance analysis and prepare budget forecast.
iv) Prepare and share financial reports with the organization on time.
v) Handle monthly and annual closing of books of accounts.
vi) Prepare a monthly bank reconciliation statement.
vii) Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
viii) Prepare the balance sheet.
ix) Audit financial transactions and documents.
x) Timely filing of annual tax returns.
xi) Conduct regular monitoring of crèche activities.
Additional Requirements:
•Must be open to intensive travel to the field area (Nagarkurnool & Badradri Kothagudem, Telangana).
•Must own a bike/two-wheeler for travel with a valid driving license.
•Preference to local candidates from Telangana/AP.
•Need to visit field area as per requirement.
