"The Research into Use (RIU) programme is a new initiative funded by the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID) which was recently launched in June 2007. Its purpose is to make existing natural resources research outputs (in the form of technologies, policies, processes and knowledge) more accessible to the poor and to enhance their uptake. Initially, concept notes will be invited where proposed activities relate to the following 6 Asian countries; Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam. See web site for additional information. Deadline: 12 noon (GMT) on 30th September 2007 ."
