I am from Chennai and live in an apartment with three blocks, for all the blocks submersible pump is installed and working fine. Two of blocks have no problem in pulling up the water but my block has problem in pulling up the water. The plumber informed us that the water level is low and the pump pulls the water but the pull does not have strong flow to go to the tanks. He is suggesting changing the motor to a compressor motor will solve our problem. Should we change to a compressor motor or buy a new submersible motor of good quality and try?

We have a borewell of 200 feet, 4.5 inch dia. Couple of years back one submersible motor got stuck at 180 feet while removing for repair. The bore mechanic was not able to remove it, so we bought another submersible motor and installed it above the existing motor at 180 feet. Now we want to re-drill it, but we can't as the motor exists. How to remove the stuck up submersible motor? Any expert help.

Thanks Mukund

I got 2 inches of water at 70 feet, then while drilling we found only soil, no rocks up to 200 feet. During this time the 2 inch water also disappeared. We drilled up to 320 feet, at 290 feet again we got 3 inch of water with muddy color. Then we stopped at 320 feet. After that we fitted pump & got 2 inches of water out till 15 days. Now it is dry (no water) from last one month. My question is, after the rain starts, if I keep the pump running, will the closed water paths open and make good source of water?

We had borewell with depth of 560 feet. We re-drilled it to get to 700 feet. After 600 feet we got clay type mud. At 670 feet we got about 4 inch water and we finished drill till 690 feet. After 10 hours when we started putting motor in the borewell it went till 610 feet. There was only muddy water which lasted for 30-40 min. We lost the point of source of water as it got filled with mud. Now we have kept the motor at 545 feet and now there is hardly any water and it runs only for 5 min and water is muddy.

We bought a used house in January 2019. They bored a well upto 700 ft and installed 2 hp submersible pump at 590 ft with 1 inch pipe. We did some renovation work. At the beginning of the month of May, amp meter went higher, but we didn't get water. Technicians checked the panel board for inspecting the submersible pump. So we planned to lift pump, but after removing 40 ft of pipes, pump got stuck and couldn't be lifted. After struggling for a long time, they pushed the pipe down and then lifted it.
