Dear IWP

My apartment is at ground floor and the STP plant is installed underneath of my apartment(Basement). There is too much noise from basement, as the exhaust fan in the STP is installed near my toilet area. STP runs 24 hrs. I am encoding the following issues

1) Bacteria spreads around my balcony area & STP water quality is not good.

2) Too noisy: Definitely higher than human hearing limit

3) Too much vibrations: Due to that, noise spreads through wall and my family is daily exposed to strong smell.

Dear IwP

I am looking for an iron removal solution for the whole house. When I tested the well water I found that Iron levels is 0.33 mg /L, bi-carbonate 89.67 mg /L and sulphate is 33 mg /L . I have attached the full report. At present I am using a sand filter in the over-head water tank, but this gets clogged frequently ( especially during summer) and cleaning it is not easy due to the difficulty in accessing the tank. I use a 1 hp motor for drawing water from the well.

Sir,

I have an agriculture field of 11 acres in Nidamanoor village, Nalgonda dist, Telangana state. My agriculture field is in 'L' shape. I dug a borewell and my neighbour objected to it as it is not more than 250 mtrs distance away. But my field width is only about 30 mtrs.

My neighbour has 4 acres and had 3 bores. I had a single bore of 2 inches for 11 acres and am completely dependent on agriculture, with no other source of income. As my field is narrow and is in L shape I could not meet the 250 mtrs distance from neoghbours.

Please help me out with a solution,

Hi,

The borewell we dug was 6 1/2", initially we had dug 135feet. Contractor said we got loose soil after 60feet and he advised a casing pipe till 135 feet. We agreed and put casing pipe till 135 feet. We got stone at 135-140feet, hence continued drilling till 560feet. Contractor said we have got 1" of water. We have installed a Crompton 3hp, 4" , 3phase pumpset, at 510 feet. We switched on the for the first time and we got water for15min and then the water flow stopped. Again we gave a gap for 30min and turned on the pump, and got water for 10min and then it stopped.

Dear IWP

We have dug a borewell upto 420 feet and put a 30 stage 1.5 submersible pump (KHB) at a depth of 400 feet. As the moter stopped working, we tried to pull out the motor and learned that the casing was crushed. The casing was of a plasto company which is considered to be a good company. What is the best solution for the future now?

Hello

I got a bore dug in March 2014. At 18  feet we got the rock surface and water at around 350ft, and the digging was stopped at 565 ft. We had put 7.5 hp 12stage 3phase motor pump at 400ft. The water output is around 4500 ltr per hour.

However since the last two days sand particles are coming out and blocking the drip filter. What has happened to the bore and what should I do now?

Thanks

Darshan

Hi IWP

We now know that eateries are under an obligation to provide potable water to its patrons free of charge. Can the same be said about owners of large malls and/ or office buildings? Along with the sanitation system, are they also obliged to provide potable water to the common public/ tenants/ visitors?

Or is it an obligation of the respective offices only? What does our law say about it?

Regards
