To Whom It May Concern,

I am a student at the University of Michigan looking for an internship in India during the summer of 2013. I was very pleased to read about India Water Portal and also about your internship opportunities. I was wondering if they were exclusively for Indian students or had any kind of language requirements (Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, etc.).

India’s economic policies are destroying biodiversity and livelihoods on an unprecedented scale

The blind pursuit of economic growth is coming at massive costs, both to natural ecosystems and to hundreds of millions of ecosystem-dependent people, who are being affected by mining, dams, power plants, ports, industries, and other such projects. Such growth has also not solved the chronic problems of poverty, hunger and malnourishment, and social exclusion that affect more than half of India’s population.

My borewell is in Thapathali, Kathmandu, Nepal. The bore is 4"diameter, the depth is 44 feet which was done on May 23, 2012. At that time water supply was 1.35 min for 6.35 gallons water. All of sudden from September 25th the water flow went down and took double the time to fill up for the same amount of water. If I increase the ball valve (water flow) then water stops just after 1.3min. I kindly request you to provide me some suggestion. Waiting for your kind information.

With best regards,
Binod Mool

Question: What is the minimum TDS Level on RO Systems. If any one is selling water purifier whose TDS is less that the drinking range, why can't we take legal action against such manufactures? These manufactures should be punished because they are playing with the health of human beings. ecently as a salesman was giving a demo on a RO system, he told that the TDS level will be reduced to 10. Is it a safe TDS level or all the minerals will be removed if it is very low. But i read somewhere that the ideal mineral water should have a TDS level atleast of 150.
