I'm planning to dig a borewell in my hometown (Dindigul, Tamilnadu). Our earlier 2 attempts failed. Since my place is a drought area and nearby borewells are more than 1000ft, I would like to know anyone who can help us to find the correct spot of water source with 100% accuracy. I do not believe in people who use coconuts, neem sticks for finding ground water.

As the TN farmers’ protest in Delhi enters its fourth week, all eyes are on the Centre which is not budging.

Our borewell with the following details: a 120 ft foot valve, 90 ft /120 ft water level, 60 ft/120 ft heading level, 25 ft jet pump, 1 hp (texmo).  Suddenly the motor is not pumping water. We have tested it for air lock, but no airlocks were found. The water is still upto the motor, but the motor doesn't pump water.

I am having a site where the borewell lorry cannot reach because of narrow approach. My land is located in a rocky area where nearby borewells are 800-1000 ft deep. Is it possible to drill very deep borewell with portable machine?
