I am from Bangalore. I have a borewell which is at 160 feet and the guy who dug the borewell said there are boulders at 45 feet. My local guy put the submersible pump at 60 feet and at 50 feet, but motor stops operating because of sand getting into the motor.

How do I pump water out with this sand problem and this water is mainly for agriculture. I grow paddy which requires more water.

Please help

I stay in Nagwara, Hebbal. My borewell was dug 4 years back. I got 2 streams and good potable water from it. For the past few months, I was getting muddy water and 3 days back my borewell motor completely stopped functioning because of mud and silt.

After it was repaired and reinstalled, I am still getting lots of muddy water although I have sufficient water in my bore.

Please can you suggest a simple method to prevent the muddy water from rising up. My area is not yet supplied with Cauvery water. So this is my only source of water.

Hi,

We are planning to drill a bore well, based on the study conducted by a water diviner in our apartment at Kaggadasapura (opp to SBI), Bangalore. We would like to get a second opinion from a reliable source like the Geology Department or any other authenticated source.

Please let me know about contact information of agencies or departments who deal with this.

Thanks,
Maran. K
