We have shifted to Kolkata one year back, and use municipal water here.

All the glass and steel surfaces of our utensils have shown white cement like deposits. Even proper cleaning has failed to remove it. The shower also get clogged every now and then and cleaning it with diluted Muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) is the only respite.

TDS was checked and the same was found to be 170, means need for RO system is ruled out. But what can be done to stop, remedy the white scale formation?
