I am planning to buy a water filter for residence.

We have 2 sources of water supply. Municipal water supply is with TDS less than 250ppm.  Another source, groundwater is yellowish and slightly muddy.  Therefore I plan to use municipal water as input to the water filter.

But commercially available filters specify TDS 500 min to 2000 ppm max.

My question is what will happen if use input water with 250ppm TDS in such RO filters. I am planning to have RO+UV filters just to make sure if in future I need to switch my input supply to borewater the same filter an be used.
