I own 3 acres of land in Koppa village in Mundgod taluk of Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka. It came to notice that without my consent / prior intimation (neither in written nor oral) my neighbour has drilled a bore well which is at an objectionable distance from my land on 14/02/2012.

The said area is in the access route to my land. My neighbour did not produce any documentary evidence relating to the present area (whether it is falling within objectionable distance or not). Hence I would like to request the concerned village accountant to provide me with the supporting documentary evidence of the bore well drilled.

Can I lodge a complaint via RTI?

Please provide me with information about minimum distance required, when it comes to digging borewell beside another plot of land.
