QUESTION
Water testing as per IS:14543:2004 standards : Need the name and address of government approved lab in AP for analysis

1. Please provide us with the name and address of a government approved laboratory in Andhra Pradesh that would undertake analysis of water as per IS:14543:2004

2. Aqua Americana, a safe drinking water unit, established as a non-profit organisation in Gollaprolu village, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh uses sand filter, carbon filter, micron filter and reverse osmosis to purify water. A sample of water tested a government laboratory at Rajahmundry (E.G.Dt) showed acceptable levels of TDS and other parameters. But the lab does not state whether the water sample conforms to the water standard IS:14543:2004. Now, my question is "Should we send our sample of water for analysis to see if it meets the standard IS:14543:2004?"

3. A private lab in Hyderabad, A.P., has quoted Rs.7300.00 plus 12.36% as VAT as the charge to test a sample of water to see whether it conforms to IS:14543:2004. Our question is, "How often should one undertake this costly analysis of water by a non-proift organisation? Is there a lab in Andhra Pradesh or in India that would undertake analysis of water at a lesser cost?"

4. Please visit our website: www.gavarasanafoundation.org for information about our safe drinking water plant "Aqua Americana."

5. Please review a document detailing the safe drinking water plant that is sent as an attachment.
