recently i installed a 1hp (.75kW) 3" submercible pump in my home. total bore depth is 120' and the pump is installed at a depth of 100' below ground. output is at the ground level. after installation when the motor is running i noticed that the power consumption is 2kW(approx.). is this the fault on the motor or is it a normal value.

the water level in my area is at 60' below ground. I used 1.5sq.mm cable for approx 50mts. the voltage reading is 230v and current reading is 8.5 Amp.
