Our society is small, has 40 flats and is facing a soak pit problem. The builder had combined our flats' soak pit with a shopping complex.  Although the shopping complex has only one office and our strength is only 25 residents, combined soak pit is unable to take the load. So we are in the process of making another soak pit. We have some questions about the same:

1. What is the technology of soak pit,  explanation of function, utility? 

2. Due to shortage of space we are making our soak pit about 5 to 7 ft away from the bore well, will it threaten the water quality?

3.  After digging to a depth of 27ft water has appeared. Solution to this problem?

4.  The contractor said he that the soak pit will be finished with cement flooring . is it the right technique?

5. Depth of our  bore well is 350.
