QUESTION
Safe levels & recommended standards for iron content in water for construction in Palavakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

I would like to know if ground water of the following specification, can be used for construction purposes. The result from the water sample test reads as "pH - 7; 600 ppm tds; 10 mg/l of iron in ferrous form which is removed on exposure to air as ferric oxide."

The site is located at Palavakkam in South Chennai, within about 1.5 km from the seashore. It is a residential plot and construction planned is for a residential building, 2 storeyed. The issue I wish to understand is that, in general, is water with such FEe content suitable for construction purposes, either with or without treatment. If it does require treatment, what are the most economical methods available. Kindly advice.
