QUESTION
Resistivity survey indicated failed borewell points in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh - Need advice and solution

I live in ECIL,Hyderabad, close to Saket . We contacted a renowned Geologist and after conducting a resistivity survey, they gave us two points where we can drill for borewell. Approximation of two points averaging 630 - 650 ft and yield to be between 2 - 3 inches for first point and 1 1/2 inches for second. So we drilled on the first point. Drilling up to 900ft did not yield a single water source. What could have gone wrong inspite the use of technological aids?
Other bores in the vicinity have water sources at 60 -150, 500 - 600ft mark. What could be done to remedy the current situation?

Further details regarding the geologist's report are given below:

Following are the details of the Resistivity survey done by the surveyor in our plot (200 sq.yds)

I) Location: NorthEast corner of the Plot

II) Purpose : Domestic use

III) Physiology of the Area:
    a) River course -  Absent
    b) Tank Present - Absent

IV) Geological Condition of the area
     a) Formation Present : Archesous
     b) Lithology: Semi Fractured Cents
     c) Structural Features : Rocky Area
     d) Expected Thickness of the Bed
                         i) Overburden of the beds : 1-3 mts
                         ii) Weathered Zone : 3 - 6 mts
iii) Depth of the basement : 6 - 9 mts

V) Hydrological Condition of the area : (as per report) Modutely fanble
VI) Natures of the Intrusive Rocks if present : Absent
VII) Ground water conditions of the wells examined : Not Applicable
VIII) Geophysical Survey Details : Not provided

IX) Recommendations:

Point 1 : NE of the plot - Depth Recom (680 ft), Expected Yield (2"), Expected Layers (630-660ft),Casting Recom(40-50ft)
Point 2 : East of the plot - Depth Recom(720ft),Expected Yield(11/2'),Expected Layers(630-680ft),Casting Recom(40-50ft)

Point 1 was selected for drilling.

Kindly advice on further action.
