I am Arun working as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, Centre for Water Resources, Anna University, Chennai. My Thesis topic is NPS pollution modeling from an agricultural watershed. As I have already started collecting data for this I need some clarification in the available models for estimating soil erosion and sediment loads. I have planned to do it with RS and GIS. For estimation of sediment loads which one of the models is widely used? Is there any qualifying reasons for the preference?
