I stay in Kalyan nagar, Banaswadi, Bangalore. I had dug a borewell about 2 months back . Got water at 600 ft . I had given the water to be tested at Dept of Mines & Geology and the report showed 85 mg/l of nitrate . The lab technicians adviced that the water is not potable and its consumption could be dangerous.

My current concerns are:

If the nitrate concentration will reduce after some time.
Also wanted to know if the water can be used for daily purposes (bathing, washing etc)
If suggestions for a solution to remove nitrate can be had.
