I am a resident of Puzhuthivakkam, Chennai-91 (near Madippakam). The water from my borewell is very hard. When I approached a service provider for water softener, they said it would not function as per report of water sample.The total hardness as CaCO3 IS- 1600mg/lit, calcium hardness as caco3-1180, magnesium hardness as-420, cl-980, SO4-324, SiO2-68, M-Alkalinity-440, P-Alkalinity-nil, turbidity-2.0NTU, total suspended solids-16, total dissolved solids-3400, pH-6.74, Colour-colourless,total iron-nil.

Please do suggest methods to render the water potable. Also suggest suitable vendors who will be able to provide the technology.
