We have dug a borewell which is 600 ft deep. The water level was at 500ft and hence we stopped drilling at 600 ft. We felt that there was enough water. But after 2 days when we fixed a 2HP pump, we found that the motor actually pumped water only for 5 minutes and then there was no water.

We are not sure as to what could be the porblem. Please suggest.
