We had a borewell done for our plot at Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka in 2005. The Drilling Report indicated that drilling was done for 500 ft. Casing used was that of Iron. We are not sure at what depth the water was struck. We had not installed a pump yet. Now when we want to construct a house, we are being advised that the water is available only at 470 ft which has less water resource for the usage for home. What are the options to revive or increase the water source in the borewell ? We had taken help of a local geologisit and he used a stone tied to a nylon rope to measure the depth at which water is available which he claimed was only 470ft.  We are planning to construct a house with 5 occupants. The drilling report did not have much data except that the total depth was 500 ft.

Please let us know the options that are less time consuming as well cost effective.
