I am residing at Pallavaram, Chennai (next to Chennai Airport) in a flat, with four houses. A common borewell constructed 12 years back provides the water supply. The borewell had been dug only to a depth of 60 ft, a fact that we came to know two months back as there was no water available. Enquiries in the local area suggest that the water level has gone down to 300 ft.

Now our problem is, as per the borewell operators in our area i.e., Chennai , we have to demolish a part of building to deepen the borewell as they have to put the stand / rig assembly etc.  One plumber indicated that some borewell operators in Coimbatore who can do this job without demolishing the balcony etc with the help of bore m/c which they bring from Coimbatore which is installed in a Jeep opposed to the big lorries used in Chennai.

Please clarify is there any such bore well operators in Chennai also.  Whether they can do it successfully with the small infrastructure.

Your kind avice is sought as we are running out of water from present bore.
