In Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, we drilled a borewell based on geologist's advise. There was plenty of water at 125 feet. We dug further by another 25 feet so the total depth of the borewell is 150 feet. The next day, we found the water at 125 feet. We fixed a jet pump and to our surprise, we did not get a single drop of water. We tried using a compressor pump but the result was the same.

Can anyone suggest what could be the problem and what is the probable remedy?
