Iam a resident of Madavaram(Chennai) in one of the flats, total 150 residents. Problem: My house is the closest to the STP and it stinks very badly most of the times to the extent that we have to vacate the house for hours together. Me and a few other residents affected by this stink have lodged complaints to the builder who in turn is attending to the problem through the STP installation company.

They have been on it for almost a month but still have not found the root cause. I strongly suspect technical competence. Now since I am the most affected  at the end of the day, could you please list out the causes for the bad odour. So that I can suggest the same if the companies are not aware/ not gone through the same yet.
