QUESTION
Need alternate methods for deepening existing borewell where head room is insufficient

I stay in an apartment in Vivekanandapuram Sainikpuri, Hyderabad. When the apartment was constructed some 10 years ago, the water table was higher and there was no water problem. Since three years the water level is reducing and this year there is no water.

The apartment folks have decided for two things

1. Either increase the depth of the current bore which is around 270 feet, and dig further 500 feet, since the houses just besides our apartment have got water at that depth.

2. Dig a new bore if deepening the existing bore is not possible.

Deepening the existing bore using the traditinal methds will require demolition of some arts of the apartment as the head room otherwise will be insifficient. This is not practical.

We would like to know if there are alternate methods to deepen this borewell with out any demolition.

Please suggest
