QUESTION
How to prevent water pump from tripping frequently?

Hi,

I have a 342 ft deep borewell and a 1 hp Crompton Greaves motor. The motor is lowered at 90 ft, voltage is 250-270 volts. It is a new motor but it trips after every 5 minutes run and has to be reset at the control panel. It consumes 12 amp electricity. Is it a problem of voltage or is the new motor faulty?
