I have a fishpond inside my house partly under the staircase and the connecting area between the drawing and dining area. It is open to the sky through skylights that are covered with transparent polycarbonate sheet. The capacity is about 3,500 Ltrs with depth between 30cm at one end and 60 cm at other end. The filling and draining arrangements are at the deeper end. My problem is cleaning the debris from fish feed and excreta from the fish within. I never imagined the problem could be this big as the circulating filter (Chinese make, Capacity stated to be 1000 Ltrs per hour) is unable to cope up with. Also frequent cleaning of the filter element and tank are not practical.

Can you suggest a way out by details of filter manufacturers that can be fitted externally. Ideally a small pump driven by FHP motor drawing water through easily removable filter elements and then sending the water back to the pond?? I stay at Cochin.
