QUESTION
Effluent treatment for a village in Bhilwara, Rajasthan : Need low cost & easy to maintain solution

My village Shakkargarh is a fast developing area located in the Bhilwara District of Rajasthan. The village has a population of around 4000, with 1000+ households currently. The water table in general is located at a depth of 20 - 22m. The village is recatngular in shape (geographically) occupying approximately 4.50 square kilometres. Water availability & consumption in village from all sources is > 50 lpcd.

As there is no sewer connection / centralized treatment, wastewater from drains are ending up in nearby nallahs that surround the village on 3 sides. Currently there are no reports of groundwater contamination. But we feel the need to treat the waste water before it is discharged to the nallah. Water
