QUESTION
Does the diameter of a pipe affects pumping of water from the borewell?
We are not getting water for past 2-3 months from our borewell. The borewell is 880 ft deep, water level is till 535 ft, two water sources, one at 90 ft and other at 795 ft. Our existing pipe reaches till 856 ft. The yield of this borewell is low. The team who pulled the borewell is suggesting us to replace the column pipe which is 1.5" diameter to 1.25". I would like to understand if the diameter of the column pipe can cause such an issue?
