We have an open well of 32 feet depth in our residence at Chennai and it is 20 years old.
The well is properly plastered and covered with iron jalis at the top.The said water has been used for potable purposes. The well has good springs and it caters to our needs at all time and in times of severe drought also. It always maintains a water level of 10 feet.

Of late, we find that the water quality has changed.It foams like soap water when it comes out from the pipe and the smell is also like soap water.Now we are not using this water for drinking purpose. It is used for non potable purpose.

Ther are apartments just beside/behind to our Residence.I have checked and found that the drainage is some 25 meters away from my well.

I understand that the water is not suitable for drinking purpose. Since I don't understand the technical aspect of the result, kindly clarify my following doubts about the same. 
 
1. What is the max limit of the each findings. ( Refer Result page 2)

2. Can this water is used for Bathing purpose?

3. Does the Bacteria  E.coli  affect  our health and is it safe?

4. What procedure should I follow to make this water potable? ( Some people were asking me to have Sand Bed/ Pebble Filtration system with Charcoal and 25 micron mesh to Filter impurities and remove the foaming effect) Can we go for this system?

5. The water foams as it comes out of the pipe. I request you to give me your suggestion after going through the test result and inform us the reason behind this foaming .
