QUESTION
Concerns regarding delivery pipe with red oxide coating dipping in drinking water after a level in Bhilwara, Rajasthan

In our home there is an underground tank for drinking water received from municipality through a pipe. The delivery pipe itself with red oxide coating gets dipped in drinking water, after a certain level. Please inform me the hazards, if any with the water being in contact with the red oxide coating of the pipe. The water is thereafter filtered in our home filter (candle + activated carbon +Ultraviolet light) and used. Kindly advice.
