I am a resident of Neelangarai, Chennai 600041. My house is on the right side of ECR. I am living here since 1995. The quality of water was very good at that time till around the yaer 2000. Ground water is aplenty from 10ft down, but iron contamination had set in. Now the problem is getting worse.

To remedy the same I had tried drilling bore in 10 different locations in my 1 acre plot depth varying from 25ft to 100ft. The groundwater is fresh up to 40ft and there is saltwater below that in this area. In our last attempt which was 100ft deep, we even managed to penetrate hard rock at 90 ft. Then also only salt water was struck.

1. My question now is will I be able to get good water if I attempted to go still deeper inside hard rock?
2. Is there only fresh water inside hard rock formations or is there a risk of salt water strike?
3. What is the method to find & utilize fresh water in my situation?
