QUESTION
Accuracy of district wise monthly rainfall data

Hi,

I am working on rainfall data at monthly and daily level. I have taken the data from your site: "https://www.indiawaterportal.org/met_data/" for a district in Himalayan state example Kangra in Himachal pradesh. And for same district I received IMD data. Both the datasets shows different values of rainfall. So can you please check if the data provided by IWP is correct? As it doesn't matches and there is an error. For eg. have a look at the data from IMD (upper one) and IWP (lower). Jan, 1901 data for Kangra HP by IMD is 200.9 whereas by IWP its 50.693 Also how come IWP dataset have values upto 3 decimal places? DISTRICT YEAR JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC KANGRA 1901 200.9 148.9 74.4 3.3 127 49.2 462.9 910.8 108.2 5.4 0 8 KANGRA 1902 5.2 3.1 82.9 52.4 48.1 98.1 350 371.2 243 18.5 1.1 0 KANGRA 1903 108.5 18.7 144.5 7.4 49.3 30.2 359.6 763 320.8 9.9 0.6 87.6 1901 50.693 11.297 21.769 7.119 27.926 40.414 346.58 168.439 49.483 0.396 0 6.105 1902 0.327 6.228 23.602 24.667 24.169 90.157 239.978 158.201 99.141 7.227 6.892 0.155 1903 30.812 14.704 21.048 4.02 13.117 35.371 446.798 165.26 65.242 10.595 0 6.196 1904 39.271 3.987 59.447 9.102 27.125 74.791 177.699 156.93 83.345 7.588 20.249 7.859
