Society for Promoting Participative Ecosystem Management (SOPPECOM), Pune is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following positions:

• Research Associate (Hydrology)

• Research Associate (Publications & Outreach)

• Research Associate (Biodiversity)

Expected qualifications:

Research Associate (Hydrology)

· Post Graduate degree in a relevant discipline with hydrology as a core subject.
· Proficiency in Hydrology and PG research/study involving hydrology as   main component
· Training in basic GIS, proficiency in routine GIS applications and readiness to develop further GIS skills
· Two to three years of research experience preferred
· Proficiency in English and good speaking/reading/writing skills in Hindi and/or Marathi
· Capable of independent writing in English
· Publications in peer reviewed journals and any background in environmental and/or developmental studies will be counted as additional qualifications.

Research Associate (Publications & Outreach)
 
· Post Graduate degree in media communication or any other discipline with media communication as a core subject or 5 to 10 years of experience in media      communications
· Proficiency in English and good speaking/reading/writing skills in Hindi and/or Marathi
· Capable of independent writing in English
· Proficiency in copy editing skills and readiness to take on copy editing tasks
· Two to three years of media experience, especially print media, preferred
· Experience of publishing books and periodicals and any background in environmental and/or developmental studies will be counted as additional qualifications
 
Research Associate (Biodiversity)

· Post Graduate degree in a relevant biological/environmental discipline with biodiversity as a core subject
· Proficiency in taxonomy and PG research/study involving biodiversity as an important component
· Training in basic GIS, proficiency in routine GIS applications and readiness to develop further GIS skills
· Two to three years of research experience preferred
· Proficiency in English and good speaking/reading/writing skills in Hindi and/or Marathi
· Capable of independent writing in English
· Publications in peer reviewed journals and any background in environmental and/or developmental studies will be counted as additional qualifications
