Job description:
Under the guidance of the Programme Manager, Patna Office, the incumbent will be responsible for technical support and facilitation of State Government’s policy analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the national Rural Water Supply programme and Total Sanitation Campaign, School and Anganwadi Watsan programme as well as provision of technical assistance to focus districts. The jobholder will be based in the Patna Field Office and will work under the daily supervision of the Programme Manager. S/he works at both the State and District level and takes sector specific leadership and guidance from the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) section in Delhi.

Qualifications:

• Advanced university degree in any of the following areas: Environmental Science, Hydrology or Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Public Health or a related field associated with water supply, sanitation and hygiene behaviour change.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in social development and engineering, project administration, capacity building and training, monitoring and evaluation, multi-stakeholder planning and knowledge management.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station will be an asset.
