Roles & Responsibilities

The Specialist — Hygiene, Behaviour Change and WASH in Institutions will work closely with and report to the Head— Policy and Technical Support Unit and be involved in all aspects of the unit. Under the overall supervision and guidance, the Specialist will:

·       Support all project management tasks and lead all logistical and administrative tasks.

·       Lead the planning and implementation of all national and State level consultations for Hygiene, WASH in Institutions.

·       Support the intervention implementation teams to ensure that projects are delivered as planned, monitored, and documented thoroughly.

·       Support on a research studies and documentation on menstrual health and hygiene, Hygiene, and WASH in Institutions across Indian States.

·       Support the conduct stakeholder consultation, collate evidence and write strategy papers on menstrual health and hygiene in the contexts of emergencies, disability and on the links between menstrual health and hygiene and sexual and reproductive health.

·       To provide support in developing technical standards, designs, technical notes, briefs, manuals etc.

·       Provide all necessary inputs for ensuring compliance with various reporting requirements to the donor and lead the writing of monthly project updates and quarterly progress reports.

·       Work on any other themes like drinking water, sanitation, etc. as per the need of the organization.

Experience Required

·       8–10 years of work experience in relevant fields (e.g., menstrual health and hygiene, women's health, Hygiene, WASH).

·       8-10 years of work experience in Development / social sector in relevant fields (e.g. Health and Hygiene, Rural sector, WASH, Capacity Building).
