Team Lead,Waste Management SBM2 - Lakshya

About the Role :

The Team Lead will drive planning, implementation, and monitoring of Solid Waste Management (SWM) initiatives under SBM 2.0. The role involves guiding field teams, coordinating with ULB officials, ensuring compliance with SWM Rules 2016, and strengthening systems for sustainable waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and execution of city-level SWM action plans in line with SBM 2.0 guidelines.

• Supervise door-to-door collection, segregation, transportation, MRF operations, composting, and waste processing.

• Support DPR preparation for SWM infrastructure, including MRFs, wet waste processing, and legacy waste biomining.

• Monitor KPIs such as segregation levels, waste processing rates, and site compliance.

• Prepare MIS, progress reports, documentation, and dashboards for ULB/State reporting.

• Coordinate with ULB officials, contractors, SHGs, and community groups for smooth project execution.

• Facilitate training and capacity-building sessions for sanitation workers and field staff.

• Ensure compliance with Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and SBM 2.0 indicators.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s in Environmental Science/Engineering, Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field.

• 5–8 years’ experience in SWM, waste processing, municipal operations, or SBM-related projects.

• Strong understanding of SWM Rules 2016, Plastic Waste Management Rules, and SBM 2.0 framework.
