Purpose of Job:
The Senior Program Manager - M&E will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of programs in the domains of Public Health, Nutrition, Education, Water & Sanitation. This role involves the creation of knowledge products that inform strategic decision-making and contribute to the continuous learning and improvement of program outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Rural Management, Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Statistics with 5 years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Additional certifications or training in Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management, or related areas.
Essential Experience:
Extensive experience in M&E within the social development sector, preferably in Public Health, Nutrition, Education, Water & Sanitation and/or community lead projects with 5 or more years of experience.
Proven track record of developing and implementing M&E frameworks and indicators for complex programs.
Managing donor projects
Essential Skills:
Expertise in data analysis and interpretation, with proficiency in excel and other statistical software (SAS/SPSS etc).
Working knowledge of qualitative analysis using software like ATLAS. ti, NVivo etc.
Strong project management and coordination with key stakeholders including internal team members.
Hands on experience in data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to lead knowledge product development, reports, power point presentation, case studies etc.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and implement M&E frameworks that align with program goals and objectives, incorporating relevant indicators to ensure program effectiveness and impact.
Design and operationalize MEL activities (conceptualization, tool design, data management etc.) ensuring integration with existing systems and alignment with national and international standards.
Spearhead the creation of knowledge products & dashboard that encapsulate learnings and best practices to guide program improvement and stakeholder decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based programming.
Work closely with program teams to integrate M&E findings into program planning and decision-making.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Liaise with stakeholders, including government partners, to share findings and recommendations.
Train and mentor M&E staff and partners in relevant skills and best practices.
Ensure compliance with ethical standards and reporting requirements in M&E activities.
