Research Associate (Ecology) - ATREE

Job Description :

As a part of this initiative, we are initiating a study to examine the role of fire and grazing as determinants of plant community structure of arid/semi-arid savanna grassland ecosystems in Maharashtra.   We are looking to recruit a Research Associate to conduct this study.

Job Responsibilities :

• Carry out experimental set-up in the field in co-ordination with ATREE field team and the Forest Department

• Conduct field experiments, data collection and analysis, soil/biomass sample collection and processing

• Writing – Scientific article/ reports, Non-technical writeups including – grant agency reports and popular write-ups

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience :

• Masters in Ecology, Wildlife science, Botany, Environmental Science or allied subjects.

• Familiarity with field ecological studies

• Proficiency in quantitative data analysis and scientific writing

• Competence in English and Hindi/Marathi communication

• Teamwork and collaborative skills, ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
