Project Brief:
Understanding Wastewater Governance and the Impact of Wastewater Irrigation on the Environment and Society.
Conduct field-based data collection through interviews, focus group discussions, and participatory methods with farmers, community members, and local institutions
Support project documentation, translation, and data entry in Kannada and English
Contribute to field reporting, logistics arrangement, and periodic review meetings
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences (e.g. sociology, economics, anthropology, environmental studies, or related disciplines) or agriculture and allied domains.
Strong communication skills in Kannada/Telugu (mandatory) and basic proficiency in English.
Prior experience in community-based research, rural fieldwork, or NGO programs preferred
Ability to work independently, maintain records meticulously, and engage respectfully with diverse communities
The initial appointment is for one year, extendable based on performance and the availability of funds.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and institutional norms
