Role Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and monitoring rural and tribal livelihood initiatives focused on Minor Forest Produce (MFP)-based enterprises. The position involves project planning, team management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring delivery of project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversee project implementation across the assigned states.

  • Supervise, guide, and mentor Project Associates deployed in field locations.

  • Design and monitor strategies for sustainable MFP-based enterprise promotion.

  • Coordinate with government departments, forest officials, NGOs, and community leaders.

  • Develop and strengthen market linkages and value chain networks for MFP-based products.

  • Monitor project deliverables, prepare progress reports, and ensure timely submission to the State/Project Coordinator.

  • Facilitate training modules, workshops, and review meetings.

  • Document best practices, case studies, and success stories.

Experience & Educational Qualification:

  • Postgraduate in Rural Management, Social Work, Forestry, Agriculture, Food Technology, or related fields.

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in rural development, tribal livelihoods, or enterprise development, including at least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proven ability in project planning, implementation, and monitoring.

  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Familiarity with MFP-based enterprise models and rural/tribal livelihoods.

  • Strong documentation, analytical, and reporting abilities.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across rural and tribal areas.

Remuneration: Rs.60,000 per month CTC
